We’ve all been there, you’re texting or messaging that new person and all of a sudden they disappear. They won’t return your calls or messages – WTF?! That, my friend, is ghosting. But it seems that bread crumbing has become the new infuriating thing to do for those using dating apps.
But what is breadcrumbing anyway?
Breadcrumbing is the conscious act of leading someone on for the thrill of the ego boost. It’s the ‘hot’ cycle in the game of hot and cold. Designed to lure in one’s prey through attention, flattery and sexual intrigue, breadcrumbing is completely self-serving.
If you feel that you are giving your undivided attention to someone without any reciprocation, you’re most likely getting breadcrumbed. NOT WORTH IT! You want to make meaningful connections, your time is the most valuable thing. DO NOT waste it on someone who is just looking for an ego boost.
It’s not worth calling someone out on, because at that point you’ve given them a second chance. A player will not change their ways. They will continue to suck you dry and leave you feeling more used than before.
