Child pornography and misdemeanor is what you can be charged with if you engage in sexting if you are under age or the person you’re conversing with is. Computer cameras that allow you to video stream or video chat is also included.

Many adults participate in sexting, some very graphic. I’ve had all kinds of guys that I’ve met from online dating website text me photos of their penis, which I never wanted in the first place. Now they should be even more careful than ever. What if I lied about my age on my profile? Lots of girls exaggerate their age. I know I did because I always looked 5 years older than what I was growing up. Another reason NOT to send photos of your genitalia.

I totally agree that no one should send naked photos to anyone either online or texting, doesn’t matter if you’re an adult or a teenager. You just never know where that photo is going to end up. Yea he or she maybe you’re boyfriend/ husband/ wife now, though you may break up or get divorced down the road. They may try to get revenge or embarrass you. Don’t give someone ammo against you. Even though it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal, but always think how this could affect your life 10 years from now. Maybe you’ll want to run for office, do you want your naked pics of penis photos flashed all over the media then?

I do agree that conversing in this kind of communication over text message with kids underage should be reprimanded. If anyone asked you for a naked photo of yourself, no matter what your age, just say NO. Respect yourself and your boundaries. If that person really cared about you, they wouldn’t be asking you for that in the first place.
